IMAGE OF TIME IN ANCIENT MYTHOLOGICAL MODELS

Abstract.
The article provides an analysis and thematic systematization of time conceptions in ancient mythology. The paper shows that many modern natural-science conceptions of ontological essence and properties of time take their origin from mythological intuitions. By the example of concrete ancient myths the author examines development of conceptions of time as ontological determination of existence, considers ideas of non-linearity and irreversibility of time, integrity and mutual determination of time modi and cyclicity of Cosmos existence.
