“CARE” AS AN ONTOLOGICAL CATEGORY

Abstract. The article traces genesis of the philosophical concept “Care”, as well as its development within history of western philosophy. The paper considers the concept “Care” in its ontological aspect in connection with the concepts of self, Being, openness, fate, predestination, etc. Special emphasis is placed on difference and similarity of the categories of Care and Being, as well as Care and human Self. “The character” of Care, whether it is positive or negative, is called into question.
