HUMANITARIAN TECHNOLOGIES AS A THEORETICAL CONCEPT: THE BASIC APPROACHES

Abstract.
Humanitarian technologies are considered as a theoretical concept in the article. The author’s aim is to make distinction between the mentioned notion with its semantic partners such as social technologies, “soft power”, Public Relations (PR-technologies). The analysis of the existing approaches to interpretation of related social categories and concepts, and also explication of characteristics and features of humanitarian technologies are in the basis of this distinction.
