ANTHROPOLOGY OF THE BURYATS’ CHILDHOOD: CULTURE OF SOCIALIZATION

Abstract.
The paper considers features of culture of children’s socialization in the traditional Buryat society. The author shows a mechanism of incorporating an individual into sociocultural practice of the people, which was closely connected with generic institutions and traditions. Basing on literary and her own field materials, the author reveals children’s motivation to join the system of values that has developed among the people, notes importance of the state of correlation with the social environment for a child, shows how on the basis of the knowledge approach to the history of his/her family, its genealogy, an individual can become consolidated in social and ethnic life.
