Abstract.
The article analyzes H. Hesse’s novel “The Glass Bead Game” in the aspect of the synchronicity problem. Similar ideas are found in interpretation of synchronicity in the novel by H. Hesse and in works by A. and B. Strugatsky, V. Khlebnikov. A possible method of studying synchronicity based on a certain type of mathematics is suggested. The paper shows importance, on the one hand, of creating synchronicities, and on the other hand, possible danger of synchronous programming for functioning and development of the society in the XXI century.
