Abstract. The paper analyzes socio-demographic peculiarities of ethnic Tatars - members of Protestant religious associations of the Ural region. The author tries to answer the question: would it be relevant to distinguish among the Ural region Protestants ethnic Tatars as representatives of the ethno-confessional group with the high educational level and a large amount of youth? The study is based on field materials gathered by the methods of field ethnography and sociology in the South, Middle and Polar Ural regions.
