Abstract.
The article examines problems of private life and freedom of the personality in the epoch of the information society formation, analyzes correlation of the individual and the social in the mass society. It is noted that daily life of this society levels the personality’s identity, reinforces the man’s alienation from other people and him(her)self. The question about ways of the personality socialization in modern conditions is raised. Increase of the role of information technologies and social networks in this process is indicated.
