ASSOCIATIVITY OF MYTHOLOGICAL COGNITION AND THE MODERN HUMAN’S THINKING

Abstract. The article focuses on such peculiarity of mythological cognition as associativity. The author examines two key associations constituting the basis of myth and magic action (according to J. G. Frazer) - association of similarity and association of contiguity. The paper describes omens well-known in the modern world, in particular, student omens based on association of similarity and association of contiguity.
