Abstract.
The article examines the corporality factor and its relation with the rhythmic ostinato phenomenon in rock music. The author emphasizes similarity of psycho-physiological qualities and the high level of rhythmicity of archaic musical strata and rock. Considering the fact that corporality as a characteristic of music depends directly on rhythmic ostinato, the paper concludes on its universal features, which in the XX century manifested themselves most clearly in rock music.
