Abstract.
In the article peculiarities of local bodies of military administration during the civil war in Soviet Russia are revealed. The purpose of the work is to identify the main trends in manning of military commissariats in 1918-1920 on the basis of the analysis of normative-directive documentation. Conclusions about complication of the structure of military administration and the functional of the management staff are based on regional archival sources introduced in scientific use for the first time.
