COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF IDEAS OF HAPPINESS IN RUSSIAN AND CHINESE CULTURES

Abstract. The article explores the concept of happiness in Russian and Chinese cultures. Attention is paid to consideration of the language as a center of culture, semantics of linguistic signs. In the process of the research semantic spaces of the word “happiness” were compared among representatives of Russian nationality and representatives of Chinese nationality. The method used was the associative one, which allows highlighting differences in semantic spaces of comprehending happiness by representatives of Russian and Chinese cultures.
