GENESIS OF THE USA FOREIGN POLICY: CRISIS OF THE “OLD REGIME” IN EUROPE (THE XVI-XVIII CENTURIES)

Abstract.
The article analyzes impact of the crisis of the “old regime” in Europe (the XVI-XVIII centuries) on genesis of the US foreign policy. Development of the United States of America in the early period of their history was due to transformation of absolutism in Europe. The North American colonies of Great Britain became the most vivid example of radical transition from the “old regime” to the “new regime”. The idea of separating the Church from the state, formation and influence of economic and political interest groups, international rivalry of states, in which different types of regimes were realized, created unique conditions in British America for formation of the US foreign policy.
