Abstract.
The article discusses the issue of dialogue of cultures, which can be realized between cultures and individuals at the level of social communication. Dialogue between cultures is carried out as symbolic communication and consists in revealing meaning and significance of one culture for another. The concept of symbolic essence of culture and its meaning, predominance of integrative linguistic tendencies in cultural communication are revealed in general terms. Attention is paid to changed forms of communication in the conditions of scientific and technological progress.
