CRISIS OF PERSONAL IDENTITY IN CULTURE OF POSTMODERNITY

Abstract.
In the article devoted to the analysis of the crisis of personal identity in culture of postmodernity complexes of causes of the crisis state of identity associated with processes of globalization of the modern society and its transformation as a whole are highlighted, and influence of these causes on formation of the personality is analyzed. The paper identifies features and contradictions that affect the degree of awareness of individual qualities by the person, mastering of experience and socially significant values. The author supports a position, according to which personal self-identification and society are considered as mutually influencing factors.
