TRUTH. LINGUISTIC ASPECT OF THE PROBLEM

Abstract.
When making utterances, which ascribe truthfulness to a certain statement (e.g. “The statement ‘Man is an upright creature’ is true”), we tend to focus on the adjective “true”, while treating the verb “to be” as mere auxiliary and interpreting it as no more than a link. Such interpretation results in ignoring the fact that truth as realization gets complemented by truth as existence. This lack of differentiation leads to serious problems in the theory of cognition.
