Abstract.
In the article the specificity of the dynamics of socio-cultural tendencies development and the peculiarities of interaction between cultural types in the postindustrial era, where “the information society” and the culture of post-modernism prevail, are analyzed. Cross-cultural communication is considered vertically - in understanding the features of interaction between the representatives of different types of cultures. On the basis of the dynamics of interaction between cultures, the issue of preserving the moral foundations and tendencies of elite culture, which is also subjected to the integration into the mass one today, is raised.
