THE THEME OF FEAR OF DEATH IN N. A. BERDYAEV’S PHILOSOPHY

Abstract.
The article deals with the theme of fear of death, presented in N. A. Berdyaev’s philosophy. The author describes the attitude of N. A. Berdyaev to this topic, singles out in the writings of the thinker several reasons why a person can feel fear of death. In the work N. A. Berdyaev’s dual view on the essence and meaning of death is presented, and the search for values related to death is carried out. The viewpoint of the thinker on the issue of overcoming fear of death is compared with the attitudes of P. A. Florensky and N. F. Fyodorov, as well as with the position of the Christian church.
