IMAGINARY ARCHITECTURE IN MODERN EASEL PAINTING AND GRAPHICS

Abstract.
The article analyzes the creative work of modern painters of architectural fantasies. The author shows their interrelation with the perfect vedute of Renaissance, Piranesi’s graphical works and other classical models when using new forms (installation, collage). The paper concludes that, contrary to industrial digital visualization of architecture, architectural fantasies in visual art are focused on metaphorical expression of the conceptions of time and space.
