PECULIARITIES OF THE MIGRATION POLICY OF SPAIN IN 1976-1986

Abstract.
The article analyzes the migration policy of Spain in the period from 1976 to 1986 on the basis of a wide range of Spanish sources, reveals the positive and negative experience of this Mediterranean country in the solution of the migration issue in this period. The process of converting Spain from an emitter into a recipient of migrants is described. In addition, the author focuses on the interrelation between the emergence of the phenomenon of “immigration policy” and the change in the form of government in Spain in the period under consideration.
