Abstract. The article considers the variety of pianist-accompanist’s bowing techniques and the ways to develop them. The paper emphasizes insufficient attention of concertmasters to this problem which causes significant loses in the artistic implementation of musical compositions and often distorts their meaning. The author concludes that pianists should conduct a detailed study of the peculiarities of bowing techniques of different instruments and the specificity of using bowings in composer’s creative work.
