Abstract. The article analyzes the problem of the relationship between a man and the world of ideas. Philosophical idealism, the foundations of which were formulated in antiquity, has undergone considerable modernization in the contemporary world. In the public consciousness there is often a sign of identity between a person and the ideas that he/she has. But such a tradition does not correspond to the actual state of affairs, since the person is not only a means of disseminating ideas; he/she has his/her own special status. During his/her life, the person is influenced by various ideas, his/her worldview and beliefs change, but the value of his/her life should not be questioned.
