CONFLICT, STRUGGLE AND CONTEST

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the problem of a conflict and its competitive form. Since in general the conflict is a multidimensional and complex phenomenon, its analysis must assume all the main meanings of this phenomenon. One of the main types of an institutionalized conflict is a contest. The author studies the correlation of the meanings of three close notions: conflict, struggle and contest. An attempt is made to establish the identity and difference between them. The study gives a general definition of the competitive struggle, and offers its dialectical categories.
