Abstract.
The article analyzes the trends of the change in the value orientations of modern youth, as well as the impact of the transformation processes of the Russian society on the formation of worldview attitudes and principles. The authors argue that the lack of a clear unambiguous solution to the problem of the formation of value orientations of social and moral order can lead a person to the boundaries of his existence as a species, that is, an anthropological catastrophe. The study proves the need to prevent a material-hedonistic orientation and to develop a social and ethical orientation of modern youth.
