Abstract.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the creative way of the outstanding Bulgarian composer of the XX century, the founder of the Bulgarian pianistic school, the educator Pancho Vladigerov. The scientific novelty of the article is the development of the periodization of P. Vladigerov’s life and creative way, the identification of biographical factors that influenced the formation and development of the musician’s original compositional and performing styles, as well as the reconstruction of important but previously unknown pages of the development of the Eastern European music that broadens the panorama of the musical culture of Europe in the first half of the XX century.
