DEVELOPMENTAL STAGES OF SERIES IN ARMENIAN TV PROGRAMME

Abstract.
The article considers the problem of the overloading of TV programs of the Armenian rating channels with series. As a result of the analysis of the programming policy of Armenian TV for the years of independence (1991 - present time), the author identifies key stages in the development of series on the air of the rating TV channels, providing statistical data from different years. The conclusion is drawn that such overloading of the prime time is the result of a long-term programming policy and has a number of negative consequences, the elimination of which is extremely topical today.
