KINETIC ARTWORKS: ARTISTIC PECULIARITIES AND BASIC FUNCTIONS

Abstract.
The article provides an analysis and systematization of plastic kinetic artworks (sculpture, painting, architecture). The paper identifies the timeframe for the appearance of different types of kinetic art and proposes the classification of artworks according to their functions. The author consistently analyzes the peculiarities of artworks of different historical periods, from proto-kinetic to modern art objects. Special attention is paid to the technique to put kinetic artworks in motion.
