INTUITION AS A METHOD OF REALITY COMPREHENSION IN HENRI BERGSON’S PHILOSOPHY

Abstract.
The subject of the article is philosophy of Henri Bergson, one of the main representatives of philosophical intuition and philosophy of life. Bergson formulates specifically philosophical, ontological understanding of intuition - not just one of the subjective-psychological abilities of the man, but a particular form of the world perception. He contrasts this world perception with the analytical, mechanistic and deterministic view of reality. Intuition sees reality as organic and dynamic integrity possessing freedom and creative power, mobile, marked by unpredictability and novelty. Intuition is an address from analytical and theoretical constructions that represent the world as a static system with rigid cause-and-effect connections to living and unpredictable reality.
