Abstract.
The article examines the geopolitical plans of the German commandment concerning the territories bordering Romania - Transylvania, where the Romanians and the Hungarians lived together, and Transnistria Governorate created in the occupied Soviet lands with the capital city Odessa. Relying on previously unknown documents of the trophy fund of the Central Archives of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation (first of all, personal correspondence and proceedings of the meetings of A. Hitler and I. Antonescu) the author shows how Fuhrer used the problem of the border territory status to put pressure on his satellites.
