Abstract.
The article is devoted to the relevant problem of interdisciplinary classical studies of the arctic circumpolar territories. Interaction of culture and communication is represented by the results of a pilot free associative experiment conducted among the native residents of the region. The findings lead to the conclusion that the interdisciplinary approach allows scientists to integrate and interpret the accumulated interdisciplinary knowledge about such an important phenomenon as the Arctic, to use the acquired knowledge while developing a socially oriented anthropocentric model of human adaptation to the extreme conditions of the North and the Arctic.
