RESSENTIMENT AS A CIVILIZATION PHENOMENON

Abstract.
For the first time in the Russian philosophical thought, ressentiment is considered as a civilization phenomenon. The author shows that ressentiment appears with the formation of technogenic civilization and accompanies its development. The analysis indicates that violence, aggression, domination (immediate manifestations of ressentiment) established themselves in the culture of technogenic civilization as a means to exercise power. The measures to prevent ressentiment are proposed.
