Abstract.
The article is based on the first full translation of M. Ficino’s “Theologia Platonica de immortalitate animorum duo de viginti libris” performed by the author. The paper focuses on analysing Marsilio Ficino’s activity as a founder and head of Florentine Platonic Academy, his work on full translation of Plato and on “Platonic Theology” as explanatory introduction to his translation of Plato’s dialogues. Special attention is paid to ancient sources and translation techniques.
