Abstract.
Among modern axiological conceptions, the researcher emphasizes H. Joas’s values genesis conception intended to explain values in the aspect of an actor. Using hermeneutical and comparative analysis methods, H. Joas examines approaches to interpreting axiosphere genesis in various philosophical and sociological conceptions and concludes that values are associated with an individual’s identity and transcending of selfhood. H. Joas’s approach offers new prospects for studying anomie as a phenolmenon taking its origin in the depths of an individual’s inner world. Anomie means loss of control over oneself.
