Abstract.
The paper aims to identify specificity of New Economic Policy realization in Yakutia and to examine activity of such newly appeared administrative bodies as “food triplet” and economic council that took on the responsibility for introducing New Economic Policy principles into the regional economy. The article analyses how the Yakut regional revolutionary committee implementted transition from the surplus-appropriation system to the food tax, from exchange in kind to market relations. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author for the first time analyses activity of the regional economy management bodies in the period of transition to New Economic Policy. The research findings are as follows: the author proves that introduction of New Economic Policy allowed Yakutia to transform the whole system of the state management of economy, taking into account the process of market relations development.
