The article emphasises the teachers’ selfless labour, in this connection, archival materials of the memorial nature are introduced into scientific use. The scope and content of the concert activity are noted. The study is novel in that it clarifies the problem area of researching educational activities of the musical school in the context of sociocultural development of Siberia, also in that the “forgotten” heritage is of relevance. As a result, experience of creative work shared by the teachers and students of the Musical Technical School as a centre for education is revealed, features of the repertoire, which retained a large proportion of classical musical heritage, are identified.
