Destruction of Identity and Alienation from Death in Thanatosensitive Digital Environment

Abstract.
The purpose of the research is to determine human attitude to death in the modern information society, as well as to identify death influence on identity formation in virtual space. The phenomenon of thanatosensitive digital environment is considered as a factor of destruction and degradation of the human spiritual world. Novelty of the research lies in providing an insight into the process of alienation from death as a source of destruction of human identity in virtual space. For the first time, it has been found that the entire digital environment works as a disruptive mechanism for destroying human identity through total oblivion of the fact of being finitude. As a result of the research, the author has found connection between identity crisis and alienation from the reality of death in the modern digital environment and also formed a new cultural and philosophical concept: alienation from death.
