“Tenets” of V. Konashevich for modern children’s book artists

Abstract.
The aim of the research is to identify the most significant creative aspects of V. Konashevich’s book graphics, which are reflected in his famous “Tenets”. These authorial canons have influenced many generations of children’s book artists, who, in turn, have reinterpreted them in a new context. The article will examine the theoretical writings of Vladimir Konashevich and their influence on the work of his followers, including contemporary children’s illustrators. The scientific novelty of the research lies in an in-depth analysis of the artistic visual techniques and theoretical works of V. Konashevich, which became the foundation of an entire direction in the art of Soviet and modern Russian children’s book illustration. As a result, the most important visual principles of V. Konashevich’s works have been identified, which were reflected in the work of artists of subsequent generations. This includes examining the latest techniques that complement the existing traditions of designing children’s books.
