Limits of freedom and autonomy of the subject in the era of digital posthumanism: power, culture, and the techno-evolution of humankind

Abstract.
This article is dedicated to the philosophical analysis of the transformation of freedom and autonomy of the subject in the context of digital posthumanism. The aim of the research is to identify the limits and new forms of human autonomy in the context of techno-evolution, algorithmic power, and cultural-technological practices of modernity. The research is based on the ideas of M. Foucault, M. Heidegger, R. Braidotti, N. Bostrom, as well as on the Russian cultural-philosophical tradition (V. S. Stepin, R. F. Abdeev), which allows considering a person as a dynamic structure embedded in a network of technological and cultural interactions. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the conceptualization of posthumanistic autonomy as a dynamic and contextual state, depending on algorithmic, cultural, and ethical mechanisms of the digital environment. The author proposes to consider freedom as a process of critical self-construction and adaptation of the subject in an algorithmically structured reality. The result of the research is the justification of the thesis that the digital environment simultaneously limits and expands the autonomy of the subject, turning freedom into a function of interaction with the techno-cultural infrastructure. It is shown that the preservation of autonomy is possible through the development of media competence, cultural reflection, and strategies of critical resistance to digital power. The work formulates the foundations for further philosophical understanding of freedom as a dynamic process of human self-construction in the posthumanist era.
