COLOUR-CONCEPT "RED UHLAN" IN KALMYK FOLKLORE

Abstract.
In the article the representation of the colour-concept "red uhlan" in the small genres of Kalmyk folklore and Kalmyk heroic epos "Jangar" is considered. From the series of the colors sacral for Kalmyk culture the author distinguishes the red color because of its special importance. Using the elements of cognitive method, the author constructs and restores a national-specific fragment of Kalmyk color picture of the world.
