Abstract. In the article some results of the research of exotic lexicon in modern English language are presented. The position of exotic words relative to completely mastered loan words and not mastered foreign words is specified. The analysis of the conditions and factors influencing on the process of the lexico-semantic assimilation of exotic lexicon is carried out.
