Abstract.
In the article the problem of the selection of the differential attributes relevant for the vocalic systems of standard and diatopical variations of the Swiss variant of the German language is considered, the results of the experimental-phonetic research which allowed to describe the specificity of the realization of Swiss monophthongs and its reflection in the system of phonologically significant oppositions are given.
