Abstract.
The article contains the analysis of the fragment of the author's (M. Y. Lermontov) individual picture of the world. Original material is considered, the description of gender characteristics and attributes is represented. Units of the picture of the world which are important both for a separate linguistic personality and for cultural community as a whole are opened through the concept of culture in the article.
