Abstract. The results of the experimental-phonetic research of the vocal systems of southern Siberia Turkic languages are presented in the article. The analysis of the objective data received with the use of the newest high-precision technologies proves both the generality of the construction principles of the vowel phoneme systems and the essential distinctions caused by the specificity of articulation-acoustic bases. The roots of these distinctions should be searched for in the historical past of ethnoses.
