Abstract.
The article is devoted to the research of the concept law in German linguistic dictionaries and encyclopedias and to the discovering of the connection between law and justice. During the analysis of glossaries the tendency of narrowing the meanings of the German concept Gesetz is observed. Nowadays the dictionaries mainly reflect the legal aspect of law, while earlier sources are inclined to interpret the concept Gesetz as Supreme law.
