Abstract. In the article the problem of the formation of a future engineer as a cultural-language personality is researched, the results of the theoretical analysis of the concepts language personality, secondary language personality and cultural-language personality are presented, the classification of the levels of the maturity of a technical higher educational establishment student's cultural-language personality is specified.
