Abstract.
This article is the attempt of the reconstruction of the plot of the perception of P. Verlaine's poetry at the stage of reading, marking and choosing poems by F. Sologub. This stage is reflected in the translator's draft papers when he translates text fragments which are connected neither chronologically nor structurally. The direct consequence of the non-reflected stage of perception is the marks made by F. Sologub on the margins of the original collections of poems by P. Verlaine kept in the funds of the poet's personal library.
