Abstract.
The range of lexico-semantic groups naming the kinds of agriculture and soil science with the root word "earth" within one word family is considered. Some semantic groups being illustrated with lexical materials of not only the Uzbek language but also of many other Turk languages are marked out. The variants forming literary Uzbek language and some of its dialects are considered. The range of words with professional meaning colour is marked out. Lexemes and word combinations are described. The range of word combinations of terminological character is given.
