Abstract. The authors consider artistic monologue from the point of view of communication theory. Artistic monologue is determined as the complex form of speech act formed as the result of the author's deep thinking which is understood as the basis of the author's work with word implying the cogitation of the heroes' speech strategy and the tactics (means) of its implementation taking into account speech characteristics of personages.
