Abstract.
The author reveals the realization of the native land, homeland meaning of the lexeme җир and its lexical-semantic field in the Tatar linguistic worldview by the example of the prose by G. Bashirov and M. Magdeev, and pays special attention to the analysis of the material concept Җир (Earth), which allows identifying the universal and linguo-specific conceptualization and the system of thought of Tatar language speakers.
