Abstract.
The author undertakes the attempt to demonstrate the polyphony of sports discourse on several levels of the text, pays special attention to the polyphony of sports commentary within the framework of the English sports discourse basing on the examples of sports commentators' references to somebody else's word, and considers the polyphonic structure as the way of textual formation organization, where a unit of this structure is a polyphonic inclusion.
