MODAL MEANING OF DESIRE EXPRESSED BY =KCA FORM IN THE TUVAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The author reveals the meaning of the Tuvan verbal form =кса, which has a special modal semantics of a subject's internal desire related to his physiological, psychological and social needs, determines semantic connection of this form with past and present tenses, and puts the question about the status of the form under consideration as a special optative mood.
